Scan results ... With Rob on mixed feelings

Postby Kiwi Debz » Thu Aug 20, 2015 3:44 pm

Hi all, with the sad news this week I am a bit reticent to post but I know all of us need some good to offset the bad.

I went to oncologist today for scan results. I am completely NED .. No signs of any disease. The innumerable lung nodules have gone, the node in chest is normal size. I don't know why as I did no treatment ... Onc said sometimes we can inhale something that causes this? I said are you sure and he said there is nothing showing any signs of disease! After a year of all this at stage IV and remission. Wow!

I have had a sore back and thought I had pulled a muscle ... Turns out I have fractured it. Onc thinks steroids from chemo weakened my bones!

Only other thing is I am doing a precautionary brain scan due to pains in my head. I think he cannot believe I am where I am and with no other metastisis just wants to make sure that there is no brain met causing it.

Today ... I am just happy ... I feel today I have turned a corner and for the next three months I can just enjoy every moment. Whatever happens after that happens!

Carpe diem!

Deb, you know Rob would be just as excited and happy for you.

Together we are all here for each other.

I had several fractures too after chemo... doesn't take much. So stay well and rest up that back... maybe some PT when healed.
