Still in shock I lost the love of my life...

Postby pukalania » Mon Aug 17, 2015 1:35 pm

Hi sweet friends
I haven't visited for awhile but last few weeks have been so hectic ... So the world did become an emptier place and I lost the love of my life on August 2... He was only 39... He fought so bravely for 5.5 years and never ever complained about anything.. His mind was so strong and that you could never tell he was sick even after surgery, radiation or some nasty chemo cocktail... I have to say he died In a hard way... I feel like the hospice nurse did not assess him correctly and ended up slowly overdosing him on pain meds until his body started shaking... It was horrible... His liver has stopped working for awhile but his Heart was very strong ... I don't think pain meds were working..Still in discussions with hospice why did that happen this way..:( at the end tho through prayer he passed peacefully with a smile in my hands so that gives some comfort...since then we had to come back home and my little girl started kindergarten and it's been hard... But we will make it... I feel his love around us and giving us peace it feels like a miracle... But I miss him so very much ...
Thank you sweeties for always being there for us and all the advice and help... We couldn't have done this without you !!! Lots of hugs to all and I will be back to check in
