STAY NED forever !
As the OP clearly stated ... NOT for everyone ...
my father for example, died of mesothelioma, had unquestionable faith and a deep devotion to his faith
he even got "re" baptized at 70 !!!!
Had a great positive attitude, faith in what IS and what would come to be
faced death with dignity and died with his pastor and family at his bedside.
Positive attitude gave him comfort because that is who he was.
FAITH sustained him while he was dying and as he died .. I know .. I was there
If folks wish to revere anecdotal stories about faith healing ... be strong in your convictions and I hope it sustains you when it is your turn to die .. as we all must.
If you wish me to believe faith healing is a "cure" and will save me just because someone else says it saved them .... ???
Maybe not so much ... for me anyway.
I ....
am on a life long Journey with the Universe
an experiment with " N = 1 "
a spiritual being in a human body
I embrace every success by every other spiritual being and IF their Journey is different from mine and it sustains THEM
NAMASTE
I am still searching for my
"namaste"
BUTT it MUST be my own, not borrowed
CR still on the Journey of a lifetime

As a non believer I just don't get why a god does so many evil things ( like brain cancer to kids for example) is praised when He does something good like healing a person that was ill before.
I realise this might spark off an unwanted debate on this forum, and don't want to offend anyone, I just honestly do not get it.

By the way, I'm all for anything that gives a person peace of mind, wether it's prayers, meditation, chanting or windsurfing.
