You are amazing and an inspiration. You have inspired me to start bike riding. I've done 650 miles so far this year.

I got tired of sitting around waiting for something bad to happen. I loved seeing your "10,000+ miles and counting" at the end of your posts.....

That's great. It's a lot more than I've done so far, but I hope to start rackin' 'em back up again before long.

Hard to describe how good it feels to fly through the countryside on your own power. Makes it easy to forget cancer for awhile. Cuts your stress levels and that's a good thing.

Recent bike ride with a friend here in central New York State. I can't seem to lose that gut, no matter what I try. Sucks getting old (but I'll take it!)

Well - I wouldn't say this is cool only that its amazing..... I think exercise is underrated as a supplement for treatment. Seems the more physically fit one is the easier on you treatment can be I guess. I really wish all these rounds came with a cure! Sadly not. :( But lets all hope that something better comes along before BB reaches his next infusion milestone (like 200 or even better 125!!! wouldn't that be something!)

I think, and I think most other heavy exercisers around here would agree, that endorphins are pretty effective at killing nausea and fostering a general sense of well-being and stress relief. I'm really starting to think that stress is a big contributor to health problems--perhaps at lower levels than we generally acknowledge.

The fresh air and increased metabolic rate certainly keep the chemo from stagnating in your system. I believe the better you mix it--especially when fluid intake is involved--the easier it is.
