I'm very happy to report this from Stephen. He got a scan days ago and today got the report:

Never give up. Never ever give up.
I had a CT scan yesterday to check on the progress of my immunotherapy trial.
I just received the report...
The can no longer measure or see my tumor. Holy cow.
Never give up.

This is him, by the way: http://www.theanswertocancer.org/immuno ... es/stephen

Take that, cancer. Take that. :D

Update from my scan this week:

Tumor was 13x15mm and now cannot be measured because it is either too small or not there. They can't really tell. But that's a a win!
7/15 DX'd at age 28 w/stage 4 crc. Met to mesentery. Also lynch+
7/15 right hemicolectomy
8/15 started 12 rounds FOLFOX.
2/15 Nanoknife. Gallbladder removal. resections. Complications landed me in ICU for 1 week. 8 blood transfusions.
5/15 Nanoknife failed. Enrolled in phase 1 trial of MPDL3280a (Atezolizumab) & Avastin.
7/15 CT shows I am responding to trial drug. All tumors and nodules shrinking.
8/15 CT scan shows stability of all nodules and target tumor
10/15 CT scan shows continued stability.

So, after last scan we were told that the tumor was no longer visible. This was obviously awesome. The report did mention lymph node measurements...so we assumed that those lymph nodes were diseased. Turns out, the lymph nodes were only noted because they were enlarged at some point in the past and they are actually normal sized lymph nodes now.

So today, after talking with my team...we were told that my body contains no measurable disease.

NED: No evidence of disease. I was told this would never happen....but I am, for now...and possibly for a very long time....cancer free.
