Hair regrowth after FOLFOX...how long?
Hello everyone! My husband goes in for treatment #10 of FOLFOX tomorrow. Before chemo, he had a full heard of hair. The doctor said his hair would thin but not fall out. Well, it's getting pretty darn thin and he is getting bummed about it. I thinks he is still (very!) handsome and if you were just meeting him you wouldn't think anything of it. Nonetheless, when he gets out of the shower, there is hair everywhere. So my question is, for those of you who had your hair thin during FOLFOX, how long did it take to start to notice regrowth and did it grow in a different color or texture? Did anybody just have their hair not regrow at all??? Thanks for your answers in advance.

I had no hairless on folfox and recently had folfiri which it seems to be affecting my hair now. Yes, I have heard of color and texture change. As far as I know it will grow back after chemo is done with possible changes I mentioned

My hair got very thin on FOLFOX. My last treatment was 3/25/15. I am thrilled to report that it is growing back. About half my hair is about an inch and a half long. It seems to be a bit less healthy than my old hair, but I bet it will be fine after it comes in a bit more. Too early to tell if it will be courier. Just about the same color as before. My hair got very thin on FOLFOX, last round was 12/31/14. I finally noticed about a month ago that it's thickening up again. No change at all in color or texture for me.

I lost about half of my hair during my first 6 rounds of folfox (june to sept 2014). I didn't notice as much or any for my second 6 rounds. I noticed my new hairs growing in over the winter and they are about 3 inches long now. Same color and texture.

I lost about half during FOLFOX. It took about a month before my hair started growing back. It grows about an inch every 2 months.

My husbands hair thinned out a lot while going thru folfox. I would say he lost about 50% of it. You couldn't notice though because it was so thick to begin with. It started thickening up again about 1-2 months after his last treatment and is now just as it was before any chemo.
