Surgery

Postby jalusa » Sat Jun 20, 2015 6:07 am

Today is Saturday, I think.

I had my colon resected and HAI pump placed on Thursday.

I walked 7 rounds yesterday. Feeling ok.
Hoping to get to resection with HAI pump.

Glad your surgery went well. It took my gut sixteen days to "wake up" after surgery, I only took pain meds for the first two. It seemed like the only thing helped me was to walk if I started hurting, so I walked a lot, at all hours of the day and night...So keep walking, it really does help...good luck!

Joel and I have been waiting to see you post this good news! Thanks for the update. Laps are definitely the ticket to restored bowel function. And you are in the only hospital we know with good food..so there's an extra reward..
On that floor we know so well, 14 laps =1 mile. You already did a 1/2 mi. pre posting! Take it easy, though!
Best wishes..

Hoping to get to resection with HAI pump.
