Our arch-conservative Health Minister calls the decision "an outrage". Thank heavens for a functioning Supreme Court.

Cannabis is not my personal choice, but I'm very happy for those who use it.

Best to all!

.... AND you will note it was us LotusLand hippie, beach going, sun worshippers out here who challenged this TO the Supreme Court

...AND almost unprecedented ..... a unanimous decision 7 - 0 recognizing the legal status of non dried smokable weed ( edibles, oils etc. )
now the challenge will be to keep the MMJ status legit for certified growers, producers, "marketers" and medical patients.

You still need a doc to give you status AFAIK so typical of Canada :
the correct steps are taken ... BUTT the devil is still in the details and as OG noted
there will be a heavy BUTTHEAD contingent to be dealt with.

Cheers ... duuuudes

Why is it that the conservatives among us have so much trouble making sense? Does it make sense to prohibit all marijuana? Sure. I don't agree, but I can understand that position. Does it make sense to allow smoking marijuana while prohibiting eating it? Of course not, and that's what this court decision says: it doesn't make sense. Did Ambrose read the decision? It doesn't seem to matter. Conservatives are not people of principle; they're people of prejudice.
