And to add, just because people have different beliefs does not mean they can't get along! People need to be more tolerant and care! Those who don't are the TRUE assholes! Imo

Sorry, had to say that

CR, it's ok if you have to remove this, just wanted to voice my opinion.

Love you all! :)

Skypup, I think if you will re-read the first post by Mydogphoebe in this thread, you will see why we haven't gotten an explanation for the locking of KT's thread, and why we will most likely not receive one in the future. That is my opinion of course. Sorry for the disruption of your thread.

I don't know what all the fuss is about and I really don't care either. Yes this is America where you are free to say anything that you want. Even if it is offensive to others. I have thick skin and can just close out a topic that is offensive to me but many don't. That's why we have moderators. But this is a cancer forum and should remain a place for people seeking information about just that CANCER. The moderators have a job to do. It's that simple. They don't sit around and say, hey let's lock someone out today and really piss them off. If the content of what is posted is not about cancer then should not be on the forum. That's what Face Book or a PM is for. Yes an occasional off topic post should be OK and has always been. A simply O/T in the subject line tells people and then it is their choice as to whether the reader wants to look or not. I've been here almost 6 years now and always hate it when there is a disdane on the boards. Cancer takes to much away from us already. I need to save my sparring match for my next round of chemo not take it out on the moderators!

I agree with Theresa, that's why I've posted a request for clarification here; I can't take a decision if I don't know all the facts.

Disregard this post of mine; no further clarification is necessary, 24 hours silence gave me the answer.

Even in forums, one has to be mindful of not biting the hand that is paying for
the search for a cure.

Follow the money.

I don't know why that thread was locked when others that definitely were offensive were not, but one thing I do know is that the mods and admins of this site have no interest other than our, the patients, good at heart. There is no "money" made here, there is only the grace of good people volunteering their time to help us all along. Agree with a decision or not, I 100% reject the idea that anything nefarious was in play.

Thanks Skypup,
that was one issue I found personally offensive. Appreciate your support here.

Correct. Nobody here is making any money or income from the site, at least not to my knowledge. I like to think we're independent of outside pressure. We generate enough of that of our own internally!

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought the Colon Club could accept charitable contributions. I guess I don't understand the structure of the organization. Apologies if I offended anyone.

I would think charitable donations to the Colon Club proper are OK.
Nobody is "buying" the influence of this forum nor "paying" for censorship...was my point.
It was not your post I found offensive, either.... just FYI !
