You just know that I can't sit in the background and let those pics go bye. It is getting pretty cold here now and it was 6 degrees C (42 degrees F) when I went for a run this morning so you know that the variety of produce we get is not that great at the moment. I'm into my organic stuff which is generally grown locally so the choices are a lot more restricted. I love my beets (Beetroots as we call them) and all we are getting at the moment are swiss chard, beets, turnips and pumpkins...all those lovely winter hearty sort of things. I am getting serious veggie envy just looking at your pictures.
I'm looking at moving from my apartment in the next few months, to another apartment with a smaller balcony so my little herb garden is probably going to stop.
One day, when I get organized I'll need to do a visit to NY just to help you eat some of those veggies. Until then keep posting pictures.
OH, also way O/T but there I run about 4 miles to a big park where there is a big loop road that I do a few laps around and then run back home. There are just tons of cyclists there. I get there about 5:30 AM and there are always cars lined up outside (they don't open the gates until sunrise which is about 6:50 am at the moment) with guys unloading there bikes, and then inside they get themselves into groups and there are probably about 5-600 riders doing 4 km (2.50 miles) loops around and around. They always seem to be a fairly aggressive mob, and I often remember your posts about cycling with eagles circling overhead and think that there must be a couple of different types of cyclists.....you are the more relaxed natural type I would imagine.
Here is a photo that I stopped and took my running gloves off to take this morning as it was just so beautiful.
