I posted a cry for help several weeks ago about making the decision whether to have apr surgery or take a watch and wait approach. The advice given was to have the surgery and so I had it done last Thursday 05/28. <Ouch> I'm glad you talked me into it and you were right, I'm sitting and walking already and might be released from the hospital tomorrow. All my vitals are normal and my pain is tolerable now, but my stoma hasn't done its thing yet except release bowel sweat. How long before it works? Will they keep me here until it does? Any suggestions on care or concerns from the true experts that are on here? I'll totally trust your advice, so thank you.
