CRguy wrote:NOW here is where the advocate part comes in again : my report mentioned a history of lung and liver resections after CRC = NOT !
SO had to get records Dept. to contact the dictating radiologist to correct this.

Read your reports, make sure they are correct, make sure you understand what is being told to you and especially done TO YOU ....
AND ALWAYS BE or have an advocate ....

This is what worries me about the push for universal electronic health care records. They are only as accurate as the patient is diligent in reviewing them. It's scary to think about ending up in ER and some resident acting on false info in the records.

Good advice, CRguy, about being your own advocate! And super-duper *high five* congrats on getting the all clear! :D :D :D

LOOKOUT !!!!!! NEW Update time

Postby CRguy » Sat Jan 16, 2016 8:48 pm

Image Time here .....

Image

Ok OK ...ONLY 'cos I am a vet .... here IS the happy dancin' squirrel ... tentatively placed in this update post

Image

All bloods good = no surprise, esp CEA --->>>>> BECAUSE IT IS NOT a marker for me .... DUH !!!!

NEW Resident this time, and while I coulda' been a jerk ...... whoa moi ?????
I threw her a few lines and a few topics ... AND .....wait for it ...

LOVED HER.
Wifey and I both LOVED her ... please read all my prior 8160 posts here = NOT always the case

emailed my Onc and said "Clone Her !!!"
The BEST Doc of any suits or stripes I have had at the Cancer Center....
disclaimer : My own Onc kicks ASS and my Dad's Onc kicks ASS ... BUTT for residents ..... SHE KICKED HUGE CRC ASS !!!!

WORD !

apparently they are all happy with me ...... and my "status" ... CRC, liver issues, lungs etc etc etc .......
AND I am more than happy with them, so back to regular scheduled CAP contrast CT, bloods and recheck in June 2016 ... as planned.

any further changes, updates or concerns ...
WILL be seriously annoying and kicked to the effin' curb UNTIL June unless the actual report which I pick up next week is less "rainbows and unicorns" ... inside joke here  ... than I thought.
( I have the U/Sound disc, BUTT the reports need to be officially signed off on by the Rads, before release.)

Taking it as a WIN, here and now
so far .... and it seems SO FAR doesn't it ?

... and while I value my time here to BE with other folks on THEIR Journeys
after 9-10 years, I am finally getting tired of this shit for my own Journey ...
Does that even make any sense ??????

The tentative part in my post is simply this :
BTDT before a couple of times ....

Hence the lead in above ...
IS there another shoe to drop
IS there actually a real life NED "existence" ..... or even life after NED without BTDT ?????
... remember I am a vet with 35+ years experience .....
and a CClubber here for about 10 years ....
BTDT

Image Time here .....

Not about the what ifs ....
ALL ABOUT dealing with the WHAT THE F' EVER >>> IS !

... and why , sometimes can't we just accept that what IS now is OK
don't borrow trouble.

Easier said than done .. sometimes... at certin stages
... here ...On the Journey

Cheers and Harmony to ALL
