RayM is Resting in Peace

Postby WifeOfMike » Fri May 29, 2015 9:42 pm

My Dearest CT Friends,

It is with a sad heart, that I bring you the news that our Dear Friend & Brother in Arms Ray Michels (known here as RayM) passed away this afternoon.
A family member was kind enough to reach out to me several days ago though Facebook & told me he had sadly been in Hospice & was not doing well.
She knew I was still active on the boards, and asked me to relay the news, now that our dear friend Ray is now Peacefully resting with the Angels.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Maria G Scarpello Michels, (Married since July 9, 1983) and his daughter Mandy & son Ben.

His Facebook page is filling with tributes, by many who admired & loved him. For any of you who were connected, here is the link
https://www.facebook.com/ray.michels.9

Some Love shown here for our RayM
RAYM, how are you? viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50169&p=382981#p382981
how are you, ray? viewtopic.php?f=1&t=51408

I hope they don't mind, but I am posting a few pictures of Ray here:
and stealing this line:
"Ray darling may you enjoy wine, surf, painting, laughing, eating crabs and so much more in the great after life."

(Update: his daughter Mandy contacted me & is thankful I shared with you)

May you rest in Peace, Ray Michels,
Blessings to his wife Maria, his son & Daughter, Family & friends
I am lighting candles in your honor tonight

Much love from my tear streaming face & heavy heart

Ray and my husband walked a similar path, so we spoke quite a bit before my husband passed. I'm so sorry for his family. I'll raise a glass to you Ray.

Enjoyed Ray's posts, yet respected his need to take a break from the forum, as most of us understand. Just an all around good guy. Extending my sincere condolences to Ray's family, friends for their loss. May they find comfort through their shared memories, through each other.
