Saw the oncologist today. My lab work was good. My CEA has gone down to 113 from 400 in March when this all began. Dr. Wants to drop the 5-fu and reduce Ironateacan to 120. He says he wants to give this a try before he scraps the plan and has to come up with another. He wants me to get fluids if non stop diarrhea begins and also use Lomital and Immodium. He mentioned that he may have to go to Vectibux. Anyone have information on how this went for them? I will have treatment tomorrow. Swing some chickens that this works(dropping 5 FU) and I keep my fluids up and stop dehydration from rapid elimination.

My docs dropped 5-FU and went to 100mg/m2 for the irinotecan, plus 20% reduction on Erbitux. it's working pretty well at keeping me mostly stable. Will know more in a couple of months. Side effects are still troublesome, but better than with full dose. Hope you do well with it!

I weigh 160 PDs so I hope this is enough of a reduction to help also. What problems do you have and are they controllable with the Immodium and Lomital? Thanks for the feedback. Do you get the rash? So far I have not with my first treatments.
