Ok so this is not your average question asked here but I need some frank and candid answers

My Hair is Very Long, past by Bum, and I want to Cut about 16 inches or 41cms off, maybe a bit more

I'm undecided whether to sell the hair I could get about £150 and pay a bill or donate it to make a wig for a Cancer Patient.

I am torn as my heart says Donate and do it for the memory of your Husband and my Brain says, sell it and pay off a bill to make things easier for you and the kids.

What should I do ? HELP

Hmmmm...that is tough!! Maybe you could sell it this time for you & the kids, then grow it out again & donate?

If the money would help, sell it. Consider it a donation to yourself and your family!

Sharon,

Perhaps you could take the money from the hair and from that amount make a donation in your dear husband's name and use the remainder towards a bill. You both honor his memory and take care of the children.

Best wishes,
Amy

I like Amy's idea best. Sell the hair, use a small part of the money as a donation, and then use the rest to pay off a bill and give yourself a bit of peace of mind.

I say sell it, donation comes second and family comes first.

Family comes first. Make a donation when you are able.

I agree on donating to yourself. But use the money to do something fun for you and your kids. Create a memory in their dad's honor. Bills will always be there, but memories last a lifetime. You've been through enough to not feel burdened to help others. Sometimes you have to learn to be selfish and take care of you. It's okay when you need that.

My vote is with the others, sell it! It is nice to think of others but please take care of your family first.

Thinking of your family first is not selfish. You've been through enough already and if the money helps, then sell it.

My 2 cents.

Sharon, I think you and your girls should spend the money on something to honor your DH.

If you need the money at this time, I would get the money (we all understand how hard times can get), if you can go without the money, donate. Dont feel guilty if you cant donate at this time. Best wishes

I think you're wonderful for even asking this question. Family first, dear.

Thinking of you,

I agree with most posters on here. Sell the hair and spend it on something you need.
Nothing says you have to donate immediately after you sell your hair.
Where is that writen anywhere ??
You and the girls need to come first.
Speaking of the girls, I got carried away and sent something cute and cuddly along
with the souvenirs. I can't help myself, I love kids. I think they will be surprised
and pleased when the postman shows up.
