Kenny

Folfir seems to affect my tongue midway through treatments. When I brush my teeth, my tongue bleeds. It only last a day or so and then goes away. I think it is fairly common so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Beer goggles

Michael, I'm getting weirder by the day. It's the full-fury intrusions I'm sure.

Thanks Richard, yeah I get slight version of this on xeloda as well. The Avastin makes my gums bleed when I brush.

By the way I'm looking for one of those dr overcoats, you know like the oncs wear? (Smock?) in case you have a line on those.

Yeah, I would get a "thick" tongue on Folfiri. What was interesting was that I was the only person at the clinic that had ever mentioned this symptom. Once I had mentioned it another guy said he had the same problem. At first I thought it might have been associated with one of the pre meds and I had them hold them a few times and it turned out that it was indeed the irrinotecan (sp) that was causing the problem. However it did last long after the infusion, maybe a few hrs.

Hey mark, I did notice it right of and it got a little worse over a few days and then dissipated. I'll be interested to see how next Thursday intrusion goes. First one was very tolerable.

How's it going for you? Getting some riding in? Even if they're the short and sweet ones it's all good.

I got a ride in last week before I had the skin met removed. Because of the location I have not ridden since but managed a few short walks this week.

Regarding the infusions, as long as you dont develop an allergic reaction you will likely get used to it. I had 23 cycles of that stuff and it became fairly routine. I would always have a lost weekend after the infusion and would begin to recover 5 days later and would feel good just in time for the next cycle.

halloween costume? No what on earth would make you think that?

I wonder if they could add the custom twisted embroidered logo on there for an additional charge?

My neighbor has some sort of fancy sewing machine that does embroidered stuff. I think it can upload stuff off the internet. You could probably find somebody like that for your 'project.'
