Kenny, my Vectibix rash for pretty bad at one point but I had still rather deal with that than the diarrhea. It was clearing up just after my infusions so I suspect Dex was helping. Then it came back for about a week. 2 weeks ago I was prescribed oral antibiotics, then last week antibiotic ointment. They, or something else has worked great. I'm completely clear right now. Incidentally, I read that the severity of the rash indicated that the drug was working. I'll find out next week with a scan. My CEA has already started down.
Male Age 53. Dx CC with numerous liver mets 6/23/12. Colon res 6/24/12. Started folfox 7/24/12. Added avastin 8/27/12. CT 12/27/12 still showing shrink. Took 17 rounds of FOLFOX. Then 5-FU + Avastin. Switched to Irinotecan for 1 yr. CEA rose to >400. Switched to Vectibix 2/18/15. CEA decreasing. Scans show some growth in liver mets. Lung Mets stable to shrinking.

I was wanting to ask about your Cea,nothing new popped up? Just mystery rise? Mine is now at 99 prior to first Folfiri. So I'm wondering if next test things will decrease.

Heck, I guess that rash would make it possible to pickup high school chicks   how's that for a bucket list item?

I guess I told myself after Folfiri probably not going for any more hard stuff either, butt maybe one hit and see.

When I started Vectibix CEA was 373. It had gone up over a 4 month period. After 3 Vectibix treatments it was down 148. That was 3/31. Was the last one I've had. Probably get another in 2 weeks. Last CT was in Jan. Was inconclusive. Report said tumors were hard to measure but impression was growth. I'm anxious about next weeks CT. Then get colonoscopy the following week.

Just remember, Cherie is using chemo and celecoxib too. In the right combinations, IV vitamin C appears to improve the anticancer effects of some drugs. IV vitamin C by itself is more limited in its cancer static and cidal capabilities, although reducing inflammation and destroying excess histamines that signal for more VEGF-A and angiogenisis.
watchful, active researcher and caregiver for stage IVb/c CC. surgeries 4/10 sigmoid etc & 5/11 para-aortic LN cluster; 8 yrs immuno-Chemo for mCRC; now no chemo
most of 2010 Life Extension recommendations and possibilities + more, some (much) higher, peaking ~2011-12, taper chemo to almost nothing mid 2018, IV C-->2021. Now supplements

Voxx- I'm so sorry, but I understand your decision to stop treatment for now. My DH is in the same boat....onc. doesn't recommend more chemo b/c Mack's QOL is really good right now. He's been off chemo for 2 months, and we've made some great memories during that time. Hard to think about more chemo right now. Stivarga is the option on the table, but I think DH will nix it. Grateful for good moments in the midst of a sad season. I wish you the very best in the days ahead. Pattie

Agree, it's a combination.

Voxx, I have your back %100 on QOL. Let's see what's up with TAS. I'm happy that you date and enjoy life, right now.
