I used to put chia seeds in my oatmeal because the are very high in Omega 3s and help boost metabolism to lose weight. Then I got diagnosed with rectal cancer and now I eat donuts. Haha (I had to gain back a lot if weight I lost during treatment) Makes me mad how many foods I used to eat regularly that people say prevent or fight cancer.

I'm not sure if its just about eating them. Sometimes there is something in the actual plant that requires a different application or you need to prep it before use. For example, dandelion root can be cancer fighting (a local university just got a grant to continue studies), however you need a significant source, cured property and boiled to get the good stuff extracted. Even some chemo drugs come from botanicals, I believe Irrentican does, if I recall (my foggy chemo brain). Who knows where the answer will come from. Also, what seems to work for one, won't work for the other.

Remember when these pets 'came back' into popularity a few years back? I was seeing them everywhere, Walmart , bed bath and beyond, etc. I almost gave them as Christmas gifts as sort of a haha but kinda cool in a dorky-tacky-way gift.
