Skypup, how are you?

Postby momof3 » Sun Apr 26, 2015 9:47 am

Seems like it's been awhile since I've seen a post with the cute smiley dog in the picture.

Hope you are out having fun!

Skypuppy left me a birthday greeting on Facebook today. Perhaps she's just taking a little break from the board...we all need to sometimes. I, too, hope she is very well with a good bit of that pain controlled.

Dear Bev, thanks much for this update. I so hope that it is just a break, not pain related absence of our wonderful Skypuppy... Thinking of you, sweetheart!

Hi friends, thanks so much for thinking of me. I'm just dealing with a lot, lymphedema and pain from mets pressing on nerves. Plus had scan this week which I knew would have some bad news. Worse than I thought, there is spread to a kidney and spine. Still low-ish tumor burden though, so that's good. I have some big decisions to make about treatment vs QOL. I'm at a point where I've noticed people who have gone before me tend to spend less time on the board, and now I understand why. We are in territory that is not really relatable to many and is, frankly, a bit of a solitary journey as the decisions get tougher. I check the forum often, though, and am following your stories. I'll chip in if I can help someone. Blessings to all.

I am sorry to read your news Skypup.
Your words of being on a solitary journey hit home for me. In the midst of big families and lots of friends, it still feels very alone for us.
Posting was impossible for a while.
I do hope your pain is under control and you can make some clear decisions for yourself.
Take care, Celeste
