Ugh, I'm so sorry, Skypup. Was really hopeful your modified Adapt protocol would yield better results. I hope they can find some way to manage your pain that doesn't cause other issues. I know you said you tend not to feel very well on pain meds. Have you thought at all about acupuncture?

Thanks for checking in Skypup. I can understand needing a break, just know we all are thinking of you.

Acupuncture may be a good option to try! My husband has used it for back issues, way before cancer and it does work for him. My friends daughter has also been trying it for pain and so far it's working.

Thinking of you skypup. I hope they can come up with a plan that can help with the problems you are having.
DD to 81 year old father
dx 24/07/14 iv cc mets liver/lung
folifiri started 19/07/14
shrinkage of all mets
growth in the liver,started folfox/avastin 80% 13/01/16
reduced to 70% due to side effects 27/01/16
First scan on folfox shows shrinkage in lungs, but liver just stable
6 rounds of vectibix-fail. 3cm growth and new spots showing Waiting for panel recommendations

Began FOLFOX 10/12. oxil reduced after tx 1, eliminated after tx 2. Now 5FU.

Ileostomy reversal 5/13

Sorry to read of the progression and pain-- as well as the isolation. I am thinking of you and hope you find some relief. Also, even though I am not so far down the road as you are, I can still relate and care about your experience and struggles.

12/7/12: 30 yrs. old, Dx stage 4b.mets to liver, ovary, nodes, ommentum.
7 months chemo, shrinkage!
8/26/13 HIPEC, colon resection,hysterectomy, appndx, gallbladder out.
9/12/13:leak in colon, temp. loop ileost, home 9/18
11/3/13: liver resect.
1/2014 Ostomy reversal, one week later, abcess surg., fistula, tpn.
No more chemo, NED since 11/13

In Ct the temp rose to 79! Damn, it was 40 on Monday and now 79 today!?!

We LOVE YOU and just wanted to shout-it-out to the whole world!!!

I too think about you I'm new but I look to the seasoned vets for advice and your is so sound your a neat woman and my thoughts are with you. Thanks for being honest and giving here.
