I've been working with a trainer to try to rebuild some strength and stamina and to deal with the neuropathy-induced balance issues because chemo is awesome yo. I am very ambitious, you see, and decided to try one of the balance stands before said trainer got to the gym this morning. I would hold onto the pole for support. What could go wrong?
Apparently, pretty much everything as I immediately found myself on the floor not thoroughly convinced that I hadn't managed to break my leg in the fall. I am now attempting to treat it with an ice pack and a Samoa (Girl Scout cookie).
Seems legit.
So I told my Mom that when she texted to ask how things went this morning. The replies:
Mom: Are they aware that you did it at the gym?
Me: Yes. The trainer knows too.
Mom: I take it that you're not putting the Samoa on your leg?
Me: No. The ice is for my leg. The Samoa is there for moral support.
Who taught my Mom how to text anyway?
