Breast milk

Postby KWT » Mon Apr 06, 2015 11:09 am

Ok, so just when I'd thought I heard it all. Breast milk for cancer? Really I just read that someone's husband has been on breast milk to help treat their crc. How does one go about procuring the breast milk? And should it be taken directly from the breast and not stored in plastic containers? This could be one of the easier to tolerate treatment regimens at least from my point of view.

Ha! I was still nursing when I was first diagnosed and I came across this same story. Briefly considered drinking my own breast milk but I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I'm so going to try this, I just need a few things. The first being a willing twenty year old who meets strict height and weight requirements, nestles chocolate quick and my wife's signed consent form. This may be the crux finding the correct studies to help convince my wife of treatment effectiveness

Hey, Kenny,

I have not heard about breast milk, but I remember that when my cancer started, I got a few vials of substance made of the urine of pregnant women. There is a certain hormone there, do not remember the details of all that, but I got it free from a lab of physician who sends them at request. I think, I have an empty vial at home, in Ecuador and will be able to derive some info from the label on the bottle when I come home. I remember that I talked to that physician and he told me that his patients are doing very well on this thing. I also remember that I wanted to get more vials but felt very awkward to contact him again, since it is all free and burdensome for him, most probably...
Gosh, I do have chemo brain, do not remember anything anymore... But I think that this breast milk info has real grounds....

In all seriousness, if someone really wanted to try this, the best bet would be to find a full-time working mom whose baby is turning one. Most moms wean and switch their kids over to cow's milk around that age. If they've been working, that means they've been pumping and freezing. I had a friend who threw away hundreds of ounces of unused frozen milk after she weaned.

Well, Kenny, when I first appeared on this board in 2014 (my cancer started in 2005 stage 1, mets since end of Dec 2011), I questioned BX Antitoxin, asking if anyone tried it, and was told that I am spreading something about false treatments... BX Anitoxin was about Stealth Bacteria causing cancer... Recently, on the board we saw an article about study that investigates Stealth Bacteria as a cause of cancer and direction for tx, which everyone here on the Board was excited about as a very promising line of treatment... The moral of the story is that you never know what, however crazy it might sound, could hold the premise for cancer - blood pressure pill or breast milk... And you never know because the true etiology and pathogenesis of cancer is still not discovered... How you can successfully treat a smart, super intelligent bustard, not knowing what it really is?

Anything is possible Kenny. I also saw the thread. I asked for some information, haven't seen it yet. I think its more about immune support rather than 'cure' per se.

I know that momma' s cows milk contains Lakoferrin with colostrum which holds the nutrients needs for a baby calf after the first few hours of birth. Now whether the breast milk is basic on the same concept, I don't know, but the nutrients are only there for a short time after birth. Looks like someone is getting a liking to breast milk...mmmmm

I'm a HUGE proponent of breast milk holding the cure/treatment to MANY things. I nursed each of my children for longer than most Western mothers choose to, and I pumped A LOT while working so neither of them ever had formula. I had stockpiles of milk that I used to treat everything from Pink Eye (mine, theirs, friends, family) to bee stings and bug bites, to scars (my son suffered an awful dog bite when he was just 17 months old. we used mama's milk on it after surgery and it healed incredibly well), to sunburns. They were rarely sick in those days...

The colostrum has incredible health benefits for the baby. "Mature" milk does as well; it doesn't stop being nutritious after a child reaches a certain age. the milk changes over time to meet the that child's requirements. It has some GREAT probiotics, is very gentle on the stomach, and is full of nutrition. And because it is digested so quickly, nutrients are absorbed quickly.

Anyway, if I were still nursing or still had a stock pile of milk, you can bet I would be sending some to my father to add to daily smoothies or whathaveyou.

Well, it certainly cured my daughter's sticky eyes - I used to pull her off and just squirt her in the face :D

That said, and I did breastfeed each of my 3 for 2 years each, its supposed to prevent asthma, eczema, obesity etc. My kids had/have asthma, eczema and the oldest struggles with his weight. Its also meant to help the mother get back to pre-pregnancy weight, um, nope that didnt work either, lol. So I wouldnt call it a miracle cure for much personally.

Colostrum supplements have been around for a long time ... and are often thought to help with the fight against cancer.
