Who greeted you, when you first joined colon talk

Postby justin case » Sat Mar 21, 2015 3:54 pm

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I started looking for all the information I could find on the subject. I figured someone had a sense of humor about it all, and read a humorous post regarding colonoscopy , that was located on colon talk.
I laughed, butt I discovered there was an ongoing discussion I might learn something from. No one has ever done this before, butt I kept reading and reading, and decided, just in case I might learn something, I had better register.
And there I was,
I made 2 posts, and I was told I couldn't PM anyone as I was being moderated :?
But then, out of the blue, came a PM before my 3rd post.
This kind lady, whom I did not know, offered her home telephone # to me, to ease my frustration. I would never impose on someone I didn't know, all my frustration , anger and futility of 55 years, to end up with cancer; We all know I was stunned by this person's compassion.
Thank You,
Jaynee

Thank you Michael...that was very nice.

Honestly, I can't remember the first person to greet me. I had been a member on another club and was told to come here as well. I knew Gaelen from one group but I would guess it would be either PammySue or Mary who greeted me on this site.

So that would imply dumb-ass :?: ....

My "first" here was not actually on forum .... PM off forum from Magnolia as I recall, but Belle and I also chewed the PM fat over PNWet things as we joined the same week...... Feb 2008 seems like a lifetime ago now, BUTT we both agreed that beer and chocolate actually ARE legitimate food groups. Miss her.

Cheers bro'

Brown Bagger was first to greet me. Jaynee came on board second. And third was Painintheass. Hard to believe that was 20 months ago. Justin, just like you, Jaynee was my CC angel. She freely gave me her number and hours of her time to talk me through those early days of staging and into treatment. I (actually my butt) owe her a huge debt of gratitude that I can never really repay.
And so I say thank you to all of you CC Angels who continue to greet, comfort, and inform all of the newbies. Unfortunately, they just keep on coming. Thank God you're here for them!
