First CT Scan after treatment

Postby kathybrj » Fri Mar 20, 2015 2:30 pm

DH had his first CT scan after treatments and surgeries yesterday. Scan was clear. CEA was .7. In June he will have his first colonoscopy and another CT scan in 6 months. The odd thing is he developed neuropathy about 3 weeks ago- down halfway on his fingers and all of his feet. Onc. was puzzled and wants him to try to be more active in hopes that it will get better before exploring a drug option. His last FolFox treatment ended on January 4. it just seems odd that the neuropathy would show up now.

So we're cautiously optimistic as we move ahead.

Congrats on the clear scan! I finished chemo on 12/31. About two weeks before that my feet stayed tingly instead of wearing off as it had been. Got progressively worse & about six weeks later it started in my fingrttips. I was very surprised until I learned (here) how common this is for many people. Now my feet drive me bonkers & my hands are just annoying - so far. I have noticed that my feet seem a bit better if I'm more active. Anyone else experience the same?

Thanks all. We're still adjusting to our schedules once again. DH went back to work on the 17th. He's still trying to walk at lunch time. Last night we went to Lowes for a few things and he had to keep finding places to sit down because his feet hurt so much. I feel terrible for him- it's one thing after another but he's feeling optimistic with this first scan done. We're both hoping the warmer weather helps the neuropathy and that he can begin getting more and more active again. This disease took a toll on him but he's taking it in stride and just keeps pushing forward. :D

A clean scan is great news and hopefully the feet problems will soon subside.
