WHO IS SCANNING: March 2-13th ?

I have my full cat scan on my chest, abdomen and pelvis on March 6th. I won't get the results until March 20th. People ask me if the scan makes me nervous, nah I am an old pro at that part, it is the waiting 2 weeks till I get my results which frays my nerves. Currently watching 2 "spots" in my upper right lobe, and personally I feel something isn't right in the upper left. Been short of breath a lot lately, and nothing changed in my daily routine. My last 3 blood works have shown an upward trend in my CEA and is now at 2.9... as of October. Under 3 they say is nothing to worry about, but I know an upward trend, thanks to these boards, indicated a recurrence. March 20th I guess I will find out if I am back to Chemo, or more surgery. My hair has finally grown back ....UGH..

PS. Is it just me, I dislike when people say I will be thinking positive thoughts for you. NOOOoooo as people battle cancer do NOT want POSITIVE results, we want negative /clear ones.

I'm having my third CT scan after chemo on Wednesday, the 4th. Hope to have results back the next day. Having colonoscopy and port removal tomorrow. I'm craving food so much right now.

Hopefully, my husband will be able to get a PET scan soon. He hasn't had one since very early in the course of this journey. We were told his PET scan had been done too close to his resection (approx. 3 weeks), so the results weren't very helpful. He had his last CAT scan 1/7/15 and that showed some significant shrinkage of his larger liver tumors. I thought it was strange that the oncologist only ordered a CT of his chest and abdomen and NOT his pelvis on 1/7 (usually all 3 have been done each time). When I questioned this the nurse said she asked him and he confirmed--not the pelvis. Has anyone else ever had the pelvis omitted? I'm wondering when he has his next CT if I shoukd push to have the pelvis included if he wants it omitted again. Any thoughts or comments on that?

My mom is having a ct- scan on March 8th and an appointment with the surgeon the following day to review her scans to see if resection is possible. Two months ago her liver mets show a 25% reduction, however her CEA levels of last week are rising. We will wait and see.

my mom has her PET and CT this Thursday the 5th...so nervous. We are watching a nodule next to her VATS site, I hope it just stays the same.

My scan is at Basking Ridge, NJ on March 11. Consult at MSKCC 53rd St. clinic in Manhattan on the 16th.

Just had CT scan with follow up PET to confirm better news. Went from chemo and no hope to 3 out of 4 turmors gone and going to surgeon to get last removed hopefully for NED, at least for a while. Keep up the scans. They save your life! Hope everyone has a positive outcome with any scan.

Scanned today, believe I will be able to continue on my break for another month!
