Frenchie, Jerry Sinfield is about the only favorite show I had in my 20 years in US, well, at least most favorite... It reminds me my life, my friends, my attitude, etc... So, I am reading your last post -- it is just what and how I think and I am... so glad, that after being for 20 years considered a crazy Russian, I finally have met one crazy American - Saludos, I am having that glass of wine to your health, my dear!

I am having a bone scan on Monday morning. They now think the cancer has spread to my rib cage. Another twist in the road.
That scan is the furthest thing from my mind right now.
I have been way too busy sketching out and designing my customized coffin !! I know their will be rules and regulations involved but a "Last Wish " from a terminal patient opens a lot of doors. I will know more early next week.

Well, staying in line w/your priorities, let's focus on the motorhome then, Frenchie. There are some nice ones as well as 5th wheels. You gonna have slideouts in the thing? I've traveled in both, both are nice...then, of course there are toyhauler designs in both too, if you plan on dirt biking, 4 wheeling, or motorcycle riding. One consideration is that a motorhome is another engine to maintain along that highway to heaven. A fifth wheel you can unhook your rig from & tool around in the truck.
Will be thinking of you on Monday.

Bitchslapped,
You sure know your way around that industry. I have been in the RV business in one way or the other for at least the last 25 years. For a few years while I was single, I lived full time in a motorhome. Just me and my dog. Those were some of the best years of my life.

That may help you understand why I chose this particular mode of transportation for my next journey into the unknown.
You can bet your life I will have my trusty Swiss Army knife by my side !!
I could also use a little help from NASA regarding a heat shield that could get me through that big furnace !!
I plan on taking a lot more BEFORE than AFTER pictures for obvious reasons !
This project is consuming almost all of my attention now.

After living with stage 4 cancer for over 5 years now, every possible obligation needed to settle my affairs has been in place long ago. To my big surprise and profound pleasure, my whole family is behind me on this one. Yes, even my wife !

Frenchie, I'm really glad your pain went away. Hoping it stays that way. Yes, your extensive background in the RV business explains you took it very seriously! Now I am embarrassed  of who I am talking to, someone as knowledgeable as you! Yes, I know a little, done a little research in the past...enough to know that the industry standards are pretty loose in the states for 5th wheels & trailers, but that was years ago.

They're calling this a motorcycle motorhome...OK...I guess so.

Anyway, you're a man who knows what he wants.

I am NOT a happy camper today !
My body has started to mutiny against me. It seems that I have always been able to push my endurance to the max and plough through the ups and downs of this ugly desease from the beginning. At one point I was sure that I had Superman powers that you mere mortals lacked. I'm afraid that is no longer the case.

All of the cancer progression since I quit chemo seems to be coming to a head at about the same time now. It has turned into a horse race to see which organ will succeed in finishing me off for good !

The end result at this point is that it's a constant tug of war to stay on the right side of the grass.
I have been unable to get out of bed for the past 4 days. I had to re-schedule my bone scan set for yesterday as well as the meeting with the Crematorium Director set for yesterday afternoon .

I wish I had thought about this creative casket idea sooner. I am still determined to try and pull this off but I will need more help from my friends. I am also a tool hound. I have all the wood working tools we need gathering dust in my work shop.

The Pallative oncoligist is coming over tomorrow. The last time we met, she seemed to emply that she might have something left in her bag of tricks that she would consider using if things came to this. I would be willing to try just about any concoction she could come up with if it means that I could finish this project. I have become fixated on this project now. All the trepidation I had about leaving this world behind is not even on my radar anymore.
I am anxious to see what she has to say tomorrow .

I am going to be honest with you guys today.
This whole dying thing is starting to grind on me a bit.

My biggest delima is that I can't plan ahead. One week I'm knocking at heavens door, the next it looks like I'll last forever in this crazy limbo I find myself in.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but if I'm going to die soon, let's get on with it then.
This waiting around for the end to happen is getting pretty old. Keep the Grim Reaper away till summer's end or get cracking !!

I had to postpone my meeting with the Crematorium Director till later this coming week. It will take longer to complete this project than I originally thought and I want to be relatively certain that it can be completed in time.

My offbeat sense of humor is what is keeping me sane at this point. The truly amazing thing is that I am not depressed in any way and I don't know why I'm not feeling sorry for myself and crying the blues.

Every twist in the road, and there have been many lately, just enhances my determination to finish this darn project.
I am buoyed on by the fact that almost every meaningful person in my life is behind me on this outlandish idea. It's just Frenchie being Frenchie, that's all.
As my mother used to say: You don't change horses in mid stream !!

I'M BORED !!

I feel like a man all dressed up with no place to go.
It also reminds me a lot of the movie Ground Hog Day

Every day when my wife's alarm clock goes off, I open my eyes, look around a bit and say " well, I guess I'm gonna live another day !!"

This clip has been running through my brain for over 5 years now.
TIC, TOC, TIC, TOC,

The insanity was progressive, I wasn't born this way !!
