Since robbing banks and gas stations seems a bit risky, I have come up with a better plan.

I will become a spy like James Bond. That must pay pretty good. He is always well
dressed, drives fancy cars, loves beautiful woman. Yes, that's the job for me !

I will have to practice killing people. I thought I would start practicing on unsuspecting
campers first. Free up a few camping spots at the same time. Hell, I'd be doing a good
deed ! I already have an ax. Guns are so noisy.

Who would suspect me ?? I could always blame it on the Dex. Poor man, he went crazy
on his medication and knocked off a few campers. We won't let him come back next year.
He's harmless now, we took away his ax.

Well, one mystery solved. Looks like I have
bone cancer in my left knee. That is what is
causing me so much grief in my left leg .

I also have steroid induced diabetis. I will know
tomorrow if I have to start injections..

My cancer is having another growth spurt.
It is going to my lower extremities which
Is unusual for colon cancer apparently .

Frenchie, bummer about the Cancer in your knee .... Unusual but I guess you are not the model CC patient and if anyone will do things unexpected it is you :D Just another way for Frenchie to baffle them doctors!

I hope you are not in too much pain and discomfort and are getting to enjoy your beautiful camping spot .... Is it a lake in the background? Looks fab .....

You just keep on taking those "hits", don't you Frenchie. That's a lot for one day. Also sounds unusual to me for one to have in (nose) sinus as I recall you mentioning before. The things about those meds too, is they help in one aspect, problematic in another...a real Catch 22. I used to use those Bed Buddies that you heat up in the nuker on DH, legs, arms, back for bone pain, though he did not have cancer in the bones, they ached/bone pain from chemo. He used to say: "Oh, that hurts so good." I had all shapes & sizes...could have bought stock in the company. Even had a small one for the forehead. You can get them anywhere,Walmart, Walgreens, Amazon.com. My DSS had cancer in his rib, used one on him for the back pain, sent it home w/him. It helped, that the very next day he went & bought several more. May/may not help take the edge off for what the meds don't do. At the very least, the warmth may just feel comforting/soothing from the moist heat.

As far as the campsite, it looks spacious! Kind of surprised @ the tire hanging from the tree. Is this national forest or privately maintained campgound? Anyway, looks like a nice, treed spot. Makes me want to go outside & light up the firepit, roast a hotdog & a marshmallow or two. :)

Best Wishes

My perfect record of being cancer pain free for 5 1/2 years has been broken.
My knee is the culprit.
Now that I know what the problem is, I can do things about it. I will buy a knee brace and a cane. The cane thing bugs me a bit. I will look disabled.I pride myself in not looking sick. No one can tell at the moment, I look perfectly normal.

I would be more upset about this if I had longer to live. After all, how bad can it get from
now until the fall ?
The doctors have to get it right sooner or later. Yesterday. My palative oncologist said it is highly likely that I will not be here this fall. I've heard this before.

She brought it up for a reason. My cancer seems to be spreading quickly these
days. I refuse to do anymore scans or tests of any kind. As long as I'm relatively pain free, I couldn't care less. I've been living on borrowed time for years now. Every day is a bonus to
me.

I may not be able to be as active as I planned this summer. I may have to do more
R&R. I don't want to disappoint my nephew. I will push myself to the max like I usually
do. The setting is perfect. He can still enjoy the mountains. He may have to explore
on his own.

I am presently at the foot of the Rockies, in a small town that has all the amenities that I need. The weather is warm compared to the mountains and there is zero chance of snow.
There is a hospital nearby if need be. I will move into camp within the next couple of
weeks. I can't afford to be stranded up there if there is an emergency. I have to be able
to access a hospital 24/7.

Now that my cancer is on the move, I never know what I'll wake up to in the mornings.
It happens quickly without much notice. I feel my whole body getting weaker as time
goes by. I can't do things I did a month ago. I am more determined than ever to spend
the rest of my time in the mountains now.

You can bet that the cane will be unique.
The docs office called. My blood sugar
Is off the charts. That's why I am feeling
so lethargic. I am big time diabetic now.

I just can't catch a break these days. Every day
something new pops up. It is becoming quite a
challenge just to stay upright nowadays.
