Dear Frenchie,

you have heard enough sorries and it will be ok, so I will give you a bit of candid practical advise.

Get your boxing gloves on and get ready for a fight, punch your way through to Summer and enjoy all the happy days ahead.

The Grim Reaper better ready for a Bloody nose and some broken bones, sending you, Love kisses and enough strength to fight on my friend :)

Tell the Grim Reaper to F*#@ OFF !!!!!

I really like Sharon's take on your situation Frenchie.

How Jonny Cash greeted the Grim Reaper. He reminds me of you.

Was wondering what you have been up to lately. Now we see...no good. But you're staying true to form Frenchie, I'll give you that. That's encouraging. But no s%#t Sherlock, you are one tough cowboy. I'm sure that surgery was less than pleasant. I still have jokes for your old thread I haven't gotten around to yet.

I'll pass on the gin, Bro Nut, but will raise you a margarita. We're not waiting for the Reaper. Frenchie, what are ya having? Let's lift our glasses & Cheers to summer & beyond (& not THAT Beyond. No pun intended).

I will toast you with either a Cadillac Margarita (no salt) or a glass of Beringer White Zinfandel (why it is really Pink, is beyond common sense, LOL).
Depends on which day you happen to catch me!

Thanks for the support guys. Your awesome!
I am now experiencing cancer pain for the first time since my journey began over 5 years ago. I consider myself very lucky that it held off this long.
I had the nurses in stitches laughing at my antics during my last hospital stay. I got to use a lot of my zingers on them and my fellow patients. So much so that I had trouble getting taken seriously at times.
I am going to try and use the picture of the fellow giving the finger to the grim reaper as my screen saver on my I pad and I phone. This picture says it all in a nutshell. I love it !!

What??? You're not drinking w/us?! Really??? With that positive attitude I took you for a guy w/a glass always half full. Full of what? Thought you were a whiskey man.

I'm going to raise my glass again & toast to a continuing high pain thresh hold for Frenchie, of which you have apparently been experiencing all along. Only this time, as in the lady in the classic restaurant scene from the movie When Harry Met Sally: "I'll Have What She's Having":

WifeOfMike wrote:I will toast you with either a Cadillac Margarita (no salt)

So my 2nd drink, I'll upgrade to the Cadillac Margarita, I'll take the salt Sister Vicki doesn't want & a slice of Brother Nut's lime.

No rum for me cd. I don't mix drinks & not rum.

Warning: My limit is about 4...things get REALLY fun half way through drink #3... just sayin. :D

AND I'll 2nd those Hugs from sister Vicki...at least on drink #2. Let's hope we don't get to #4...there may be some groping involved. Not likely, but @ my age, I wouldn't rule anything out.

I will bring fresh limes and make fresh guacamole from my avocado trees. This may be the party of the century
I have always been a light-weight drinker, and in the last couple of years have had Maybe 1-2 drinks per week IF we went out to eat.
However I am breaking my own rules and have now had a glass or two every night. SO, when we all get together- I have no idea where my limit or tolerance may be
Just saying...... no promises that I will behave, will not be laughing my ass off, or dancing around with a lamp shade on my head on top of a table
and if I am being honest here- I once saw my hubby do just that  8)

Hugs to all, as I lift my glass high in a toast to some of the best friends I have ever had
For the patients, caregivers, and all that have flown to a better place

Maybe for the boys exaussie. For me, I've been fairly tame all my life, so if I get through #4 @ this stage of the game I'm telling the DJ to spin Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. Throw me a pole & then call the EMT's for a stretcher.
