Yep, peanut's right...no sorries on The Grimm Reaper! This is one place you come & go as you please :) But what kind of friends would we be if we didn't check up on you once in awhile? Such as here when peanut & CRguy sent out the bat signal/bat email (in case you missed it):
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=56858

After a few months we can get a little obnoxious I guess

We miss you too Frenchie! However, this is one group that understands when someone doesn't feel well enough to bother with posting, doesn't want to think or talk about stuff any more than they have to.

BTW, What is the difference between snowmen & snowwomen?
Answer: Snowballs

Guess I'll go now...

Hi guys,
I was hoping to stay in touch more frequently with the help of Mrs Frenchie since my brain is impaired and I keep forgetting how to use my tablet.

Well, Mrs Frenchie has gone back to work. She took 15 months off work to be with me and help with my care. Unfortunately our finances are getting strained and I show no signs of expiring anytime soon. It seems that I'll live forever !! Just like the Energizer bunny, I take a licking and keep on ticking !

I am pretty well house bound now. I don't even drive to the casino nowadays. I'm affraid to run into someone or something.
That too has come to an end. It was my only pastime and I'll miss that.

My brother plans to take time off work for a few months so we can spend more time together. He refuses to accept the fact that I have very little time left. He wants to take me on a number of short road trips this summer. II figure that it's no use raining on his parade so I just nod and go along with his ideas. As for myself, I don't think I'll be around by then. If by some mericle I do make it to this summer and I am physical health is able to do so, I will take him up on it. I still have my spirit of adventure !!

This thread started exactly 2 years ago with exactlhy the same statement about summer of 2015.

Frenchie, why do you believe we should trust you this time? :)

As Barack Obama once said:
"You fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."
Was it actually Trump or another president?

Frenchie! So happy to hear from you! Really sorry about the casino; hope you'll find some other distraction. I do know it's not remotely the same, but there are some legit websites where you can play live with other real players... might be others in a similar situation.
I *love* your brother's plan!! I wish with all my heart that you have the best time together, whatever the amount, wherever.
A huge hug for you, all my admiration <3
I'll be here

Frenchie,

ALWAYS good to hear from you :D . Do they have Uber in Canada yet? If not, there must be some taxi service where you live that can get you to and from the casinos. Call the casinos, I'm sure they will work with you too.

Take care of yourself, hope you can have some time with your brother this summer. Waving hi to Mrs.Frenchie, and always to you, Frenchie.

Keep in touch, thinking of you always,

I'm sorry to hear all you've been through and are going through Frenchie!*hugs* I'm sorry you had to have another surgery! A blockage in your kidney, how scary! Wishing you a smooth recovery from your surgery. I wish I knew more to say but I'm only 3 months out from my surgery.

Hi Frenchie,
Great to hear from you, don't worry the road trip will be here before you know it and you will be thinking about a Thanks Giving and Christmas.
You know I think CR Guy should start a little spin off mini site for CC Member to have a little tiple at the tables, there's always a chance of winning at Roulette and I'm sure we can rustle up some players for a few hands of Five card Stud.
Anyway hope you tech guys are listening Frenchie needs a new Casino setup ASAP please :)

Always good to hear from you Frenchie. Thanks again to Mrs. F for her help.

Glad to hear you are considering a few short summer trips. I've always enjoyed planning and thinking about where to go almost as much as the trip itself.

Do you have anywhere in mind for your adventures? Also good to hear your brother is going along.

Frenchie, one old oncologist told me once that patients often receive what they pray for. I think this summer journey with your brother is round around the corner. Did you plan the route?

And CR finds that surprising  (snicker, snicker, hehehe) :P

I could easily envision Frenchie & CR as Double Trouble :!:

Nobody likes to hang up the car keys. Kudos to you Frenchie for making that tough call. Better to give 'em up than have them taken away any day of the week if you ask me. There are workarounds to most everything so hoping you can hitch a ride to the casino once in awhile.
How's the search coming for new digs now that Mrs. Frenchie is back on the job? Maybe someone coming to the house to check in on you...

Frenchie wrote:I figure that it's no use raining on his parade so I just nod and go along with his ideas.

That statement re: your brother hit my funny bone! Probably not the first time either of you have gone along w/the other's ideas over the years :)
I'm always in favor of a Plan B as work, weather, health may dictate flexibility. Would you go now if you could? If Brother could get some extended weekends or sneak in a week here or there Spring through Summer & Fall etc...vs all focused @ one time of the year may be more suitable for both of you, particularly energy-wise for you (even though you are like the Energizer Bunny  ). Just throwing it out there cause that's what I do! So first trip may need to be south instead of north.
A couple of hundred miles, stay a couple of days...tool around a bit & take a different route home, rest up til next time. A slice of the pie @ a time!

Ruh, Roh...Guess I'm interfering. OK, I'll go now
