Frenchie,

OMG, when you started the joke about suicide I thought you were serious and freaked out big time .... Then read the rest and finished laughing my head off.

So subtle you are !!!!

Great to see and be able to share the humor

It is daybreak and I am watching the sun rise in my RV with a good cup of coffee and
Peanut on my lap. Life doesn't get better than this !

I am weaning off Dex slowly. I should be done in another week.
My RV is parked in a town an hour from the mountains that has full medical facilities.
If I'm feeling good, I can just turn the key and go. Mrs Frenchie will be taking long
weekends over the summer and will join me on some of the further excursions.

It is not the perfect solution, but I get to keep my independence and still travel
at will for now.

I'm not much of a singer. The first time I sang in a choir, two hundred people
changed religion !

Someone suggested an RV timeshare. I told them that at this point, I don't even
buy green bananas.

I like a woman with a head on her shoulders ....I hate necks.

Older people shouldn't eat health food. They need all the preservitaves they can get !

The fog is lifting and I am slowly returning to my old self again. I hate drugs. I will not
take anything else except maybe pain killers from now on. I am watching my sugers and
that's as far as I'm willing to go with the diabetes thing. Hopefully, after the steroids
have left my body, that will correct itself on its own.

So glad you are enjoying the sunrise and your coffee--sounds perfect!! My husband and I love to camp and hike in the mountains. We bought a new 5th wheel in 2013. Our favorite spot is Glacier Natl. Park. We haven't gotten to go back and camp there since he got his diagnosis in 2014. We are hoping maybe we can do it this summer!!!

Glad to hear you are slowly weaning off the Dex!! So happy that Mrs. Frenchie will be joining you for long week-ends!! Enjoy today and keep those jokes coming!! --Cindie

I'll have a cup of that morning java w/you, if you don't mind Frenchie. Nothing quite like that first cup of morning coffee. I remember when I first started drinking coffee, I thought it was bitter. I was waiting tables in a restaurant @ the time. Started out w/sugar in it, but before long I was drinking it black & have ever since. A fella I used to work with years ago...everything w/me is years ago it seems...anyway he had to travel to McAllen, Texas , way south near the Mexican border. He was in a restaurant where they put a piece of jalapeno pepper in the bottom of the cup. He said it was so smooth, took the bitters right out of it. I've never tried it, but I don't notice the bitter any more.

Obviously the docs must have concurred that the Dex was becoming problematic. Hope a lot of your strange symptoms disappear & others don't materialize. (have you ever noticed that Americans use that lonely "Z" in our "izes" vs the "S")?

Now it's time for a refill.

Best Wishes

I have had people comment on how determined I am not to let cancer win. You never
know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Cancer changes us, there is no doubt about that. It's up to us to decide what that
change will mean in our lives, and who we will become as a result.

I have found that once you've completed chemo, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won't be sure it is really over. One thing is for certain, you won't be the same person. You will find strength you never knew you had or you will wallow in self pity. Don't let your fear decide your fate.

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we should learn from them. Once you choose hope, anything is possable.

Always laugh when you can, laughter is cheap medicine. Wake up, kick but, repeat.

I have a tendency to look at how things were done, in the early days. Yes, people got sick and died then too. Some were waiting for a doctor on his buckboard, or horse to arrive. Once the doctor showed up, he was the one who brought the Laudanum, to ease the pain, and let nature take it's course. I don't think he had the time to see 25 patients a day, and feed them poison, to see how things worked out

The more I wean off the Dex, the more I am convinced that most, if not all of my strange
symptoms can be attributed to it.
My hands and leg spasms have almost stopped completely. My face has not contorted in days. A lot of annoying little things have stopped as well. Only time will tell.

My mom and dad were different from most parents. I remember the day they sat me down and asked me " When are you going to run away from home ?"

Christmas always sucked when I was a kid because I believed in Santa Clause. Unfortunately, so did my parents and I never got anything. So I turned to God. I asked him for a bike. I know God does not work that way, so I stole a bike and asked him for forgiveness !

To be fair, there are distinct advantages to be living in a red neck family. For example,
only one person has to be tested at the STD clinic.

The best time to give advice to children is while they are still young enough to believe you
know what your talking about.
I taught my kids about taxes by eating 35 % of their ice cream.
It is amazing how quickly they can learn how to drive a car, yet are unable to
understand the lawn mower, snowblower or vacuum cleaner.

Dogs have masters, cats have staff. Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats
to pull a sled through the snow.

I bought a bird feeder. It was expensive, but I figured in the long run, it would save money on cat food !

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us, cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

So many good ones, but I like to choose one favorite...and the winner IS:

Frenchie wrote:I taught my kids about taxes by eating 35 % of their ice cream.

I agree that a lot of your symptoms sounded strange, like chemically induced almost, but everyone is different they say. At least you butt cheeks weren't "twerking" like everyone is doing nowadays!

I'm not much into exercise. If God wanted us to bend over, he'd put diamonds on the floor.
When I feel like exercising, I just lay down until the feeling goes away.

The only time I eat diet food is when I'm waiting for the steak to cook. I found that the best way to get rid of kitchen odours is to eat out. Eating at McDonalds has plenty of health benefits. For instance, it would prevent you from dying of old age.

Women and cats will do as they please. Once your married, you have a simple choice. You can be right or you can be happy.

At every party, there are two types of people. Those who want to go home and those
who don't. Trouble is, they are usually married to each other.

Why does a woman work for years to change a man's habits and then complain that
he's not the man she married ??
