Typing through tears....our belle Belle

Postby Staci's team » Wed Feb 18, 2015 9:23 pm

Friends, it is with great sadness that I share a post from about an hour ago from Belle's Facebook page..

"With greatest sorrow, unimaginable pain, I want to let everybody know Belle passed at 5:20 p.m. pst. she was surrounded by family and friends and more love than I can explain. (with permission from her husband, Stephen Piazza. Henry "Hank" Cummings - brother) Belle always said "Cancer was a Marathon, she has reached her finish line."

I'm privileged to have called her a friend in both virtual and real life, and will cherish the time Staci and I were able to spend with her. Rest easy, my friend....

Oh no! I have been afraid every day to see this message. I emailed back and forth with Belle, she is one of our heroes. I know there is discussion here lately on "why do we get cancer?". I dont know why cancer exists, but having the privilege of "meeting" people like Belle online is certainly one of the good aspects of it. I so appreciate her friendship, advice and knowledge. Rest in peace my dear Belle, you are one of a kind.

And I look forward to your message to the CC from beyond.
