Another update. Went in to see new onc today (closer to my house) I did like her. Her recommendation which I am good with is...8 more tx with no bolus 5fu just the pump and to try iri again with 20% reduction. My previously scheduled was 4tx then maint xeloda. If I do the 8 tx there will be no maint xeloda. I said I will try the iri again and see, she also said she would prescribe oxy if I need it which previous onc don't prescribe pain meds just my pain mgmt specialist which hadn't recently and I haven't seen recently. So, sounds good.

She has gone to studies at Mayo which is one of the best in the country, so that's a plus

Just got disco today and took my shower. Although this last one was w/o the iri, it looks like the previous may be affecting my hair as more than the normal came out when I brushed. God, I hope this is not the case since it looks like I will be trying the iri again, butt, it is what it is I guess :( We shall see

Went to er again, bad pain, got more meds. Came home to brush out my hair as it was a rats nest and that is unusual. Sadly over half my hair came out so I cut quite a bit off, some bald spots too. Not in a good place mentally or physical right now. Need to talk to onc again.

Hi.
Really sorry to hear that. I am pleased you are going to speak to the doctor as you have been through a lot and hopefully they will have an option to make adjustments that will improve your quality of life.
Hang on in there and come here and get the support you need.
Much love

Thanks stu, I really hope I can find a happy medium as it just gets so bad and overwhelming at times :( I look at others and don't know their exact effects, but wonder, how the fuck they can keep going. Sadly (just in my head of course) sometimes when it's so bad (pain wise) I feel like saying "just shoot me and get it over with" as its soooo horrible at times. Tonight was one of those. Sorry for saying that, just how I felt :(
