My dear friend I am sorry that we have this common bond but our amazing wives brought us here.
I haven't been able to come to this site until today. It was just too much.
But I needed to read your post.

Well I use to live on this sight for the first couple yrs of diagnosis. I haven't been on the last nine months because there is no need for me to read about what I was living.so I've been gone and focusing all my energy on my beloved wife.
I would like to thank the colon club for all it has done for me and my wife. I know for a fact without this place her journey wouldn't have been near as long or as manageable as it was. To all the peeps juliej pturley brownbagget and bev and many more some who r gone now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Ashley was my best friend my lover my constant companion and now she gone. When Ashley was diagnosed she thumbed her nose stuck out her tongue and went skydiving. She never would let this disease every stop her from seeing the beauty n each day. Even in death she taught me how to live. To pull my pants up stop being a pussy and live like she did( her words)!!!!! None of us know our time and we can sit around thinking about it or start living!!! I'm so thankful to have a wife who left me with the tools to live on as she would have wanted.(I went skydiving 3days after she passed). Things I have decided I will not let her down! I will not let this disease steal my joy of life!
I will leave with the quote that best sums up her life that was read at her funeral.
