What kind of treatment are you on by the way?

Meatie, with all respect -if you're going to give such advice, instead of asking Belle casually ("by the way) about what treatment she's having, you should go and check her previous posts, and find out yourself what she has been through.

Belle,

Thinking of you, I HATE blockages. Had had enough of them, but never made it to the ER. Have pucked more times than I want to remember as a result of them (personally at times, I think my blockages have contributed to my hernia growth through the years). I have followed your journey, so I know your decision was not easy one. Enjoy the time you have left with your wonderful husband, your kids and your closest friends.

Thinking of you. (((HUGS))) to you, Belle and your family.

Belle, I am thinking of you and wishing you all the best. You know any decision you make will be the right one, and we will support you. Hopefully, there will be no more ER visits, butt what we learned was if you groan really loud and roll around on the floor in pain (my son when he had a kidney stone), they get you in real quick.

Went in for surgery for a cyst on my bladder, and they found colon cancer growing on the outside of the colon. Got to have two surgeries at the same time! Stage 3, one node involved.

Thank you all for the support. I met with my oncologist yesterday and he was 100% supportive of my decision to stop treatment. He said if he were me he'd do the same thing. I have an appt. to meet with Hospice today. They're coming to my home. I won't kid you, this whole dying thing scares the hell out of me. Last night I woke myself up because my lungs were whistling so loudly when I breathed. They say they can't drain the fluid in my chest and I'm just afraid of drowning in it. I suppose as it gets worse more options will become available, but they won't be pretty.

I guess I'll learn more today.

Ugh, Belle, this is probably one of the most difficult things a person has to go through. As usual you're handling this with dignity and grace. I'm wishing you comfort and time with your family.

Belle For when you need it Hospice is great. I wish you didn't. As you know they are there to help you live comfortably and minimize symptoms. Utilize everything they offer. Counseling is offered. Do whatever you darn well please in whatever days you can. Bucket list baby and have some fantastic days NOT thinking about cancer, dying or illness.
Hugs

Dear Belle,

You are so surrounded by love in this group. This was a bad one for you and the pain is still fresh in your mind. Hospice is about symptom controll and living your life the way you want it. Not a bad deal. Hugs and a tight ring of love.
