Does anyone know if you have to show chemo resistance to qualify for this trial? DH had folfox and finished up last summer. NED for a bit but not has about 5 lung mets.

Please stay positive, some are shrinking! Remember sleen also had a tumor grow and they were able to treat it and she is now ned. I go next Wednesday for a ct scan and a brain MRI. Not sure why they are repeating the brain MRI. This will be the 3rd. They said the last 2 were clear. I thought it was rare for colon to spread to brain. As akways you remain in my prayers

As long as DH has had oxaliplatin/irretican he can be considered. There has to be at least 2 tumors one must be at least 1cm and be able to be taken out. When I found out I had tumors in the lungs I applied there first before I started chemo. After I was accepted and they removed tumor. I had 6 rounds of chemo to keep tumor in check. Hope this helped

DAS43,

I don't know why they're giving you another MRI. I had two, but that was all. Good luck next Wednesday.

My ct scan shows 37% tumor shrinkage! Very happy with that. I however have a small pulmonary embolism. They started me on xalto and I will go back in a month for another scan. No brain MRI said that was mis scheduling. So that made me happy. A little worried about the pulmonary embolism but I have no symptoms so I figure take the meds and don't worry till I have a symptom lol. Something of interest my fellow said that I was the last to get Keytruda.

Hi DAS43,
Wonderful to hear your news about what is happening with your tumor :) So Happy for you !
You wrote about being a little worried about a small Pulmonary embolism. Having been worried myself about a blood clot in my leg, I found and read a Blog about PE. If you are interested, if you get some symptoms, - this is the Blog:

I had a scan and met with my doctors today. Progression everywhere, so I'm now off the trial. Best wishes to DAS43 and everyone. /jdepp

Jdeep so sorry to read this. Did NIH have any suggestions on what you should try next?
