Hi all, first let me say I am older than most on this site and I am stage 4 with more chemo rounds than I can count. I have basically the same joint problems with spinal degeneration and my onc did admit it is chemo caused. I do strength training for seniors and Tai chi for arthritis. Tai chi has helped immensely for flexibility and pain. My onc admits that chemo is hard on every organ but even worse on joints.

Here's a link to a video with some easy to do exercises for low back pain. I've done them and the do loosen up the muscles in the lower back and help with pain.

Thanks for that link! Woke up this morning leg is still killing me can't put any weight on it this morning. Soon as it gets better i will try! I'm sitting with a bag of snow on it right now! I'm pretty new on this board how do you PM someone? Do you just hit that pm icon ?

Those low back moves definitely look do able I'm might even try them today! Maybe it will help with the leg!

At least you onc is honest with you aways a good thing. Mine not so much . That's great that your staying active and doing those things every little bit helps. I get I never had these problems pre chemo !

Just want to thank you peanut. My back is feeling better ! And I can finally touch my toes again after four and a half years . I love getting back some range of movement !

Saw pt today ! Very nice! Good tips very gentle but now I need to use a cane...what !!! so I don't fall anymore and some strengthening exercises ,she wants me to get second opinion ... Cause the fisrt dr was an ass! He wasnt listening to me ! Still nervous about this.

That's all good. Just dealing with side effects. From chemo the gift that keeps on giving!
