Article in a newspaper today reported that one of our local cancer research centers (Rotterdam) has been successful in developing a drug that attaches to dead cells. This compound, will accumulate more in tumor than in surrounding cells. When made radioactive, it will cause the tumor to light up in a scan within two days after starting treatment, if effective. Field trials to commence mid-2016.
