This is my doctor discussing the treatment I received for a low level rectal tumor. I had a complete response to the radiation and it was well tolerated.

RC - T3NXMX depth of invasion 3mm - diagnosed 5/26/13 age 53
High Dose, Internal Radiation at Johns Hopkins resulted in a PCR
LAR 9/10/13 - 0-26 nodes. CEA 1.9 post surgery
XELOX started 10/21/13(8 rounds)
11/14 NED

Thanks for sharing. How was it? I heard from another woman that it was uncomfortable. I was not eligible for this because mine was too low - but we do have the same radiation onc! :)

4 rounds FOLFIRI/Avastin; 5 days radiation
11/14 TME, Liver resection, Temp Ileo - cPR
6 rounds FOLFOX
4/15 CT = NED
5/15 Ileo reversal
7/15 CEA = 2.1
