Anyone had larascopic colectomy and ileo rectal anastiomosis

Postby Vancouver-Girl » Tue Dec 09, 2014 7:27 pm

Hi I'm new.

I have redundant colon and colonic inertia.

Wrote an impact letter to a top correctol proctologist who finally realized I was telling the truth and is helping me fast tracking me.

I was dismissed for 3.5 years all docs disbelieving my bm's won't come out. So had to rely on all the unhealthy bisacodyl etc which I know makes more lazy bowel but had NO choice.Tried over 30 things.

So this specialist is having a "discussion" meeting. We've done all transit tests and it's looking like surgery.

Both these he said are probably what I'm looking at.

Laparoscopic Colectom and Ileo Rectal Anastiomosis

He said 75% success for people but 25% not.

I"M WORRIED but I have NO choice being left for so long by other docs. He is empathetic and thanked me for my letter saying the community was making it worse not helping or believing me.

Anyone had these surgeries?

THANKYOU before hand.

My meeting to talk surgery is Dec 10th. As said, we finished all tests.

He fast tracked me in 8 weeks for everything. Usually takes over a year to see people.

I'm svelte, fitness and food health background.
