Tulane University Online Survey

Postby Colon Girl » Thu Dec 04, 2014 11:02 am

Tulane University is conducting an online survey of individuals with cancer histories. They are particularly interested in individuals with a history of colorectal cancer.

The survey takes about 10 minutes and asks about healthcare preferences, demographics, and health history. It also presents some recent research findings that may be relevant to patients. Tulane hopes that the study will build knowledge that can help individuals with cancer to be more satisfied with their care.

Tulane University is working on a follow up to the original survey from a few years ago. As before, the information they sent us notes that "We are particularly interested in individuals with a history of colorectal cancer. The survey takes about 10 minutes and asks about people's beliefs about their health and healthcare, emotions and behaviors, and health history. We hope that the study will build knowledge that can help individuals with cancer to be more satisfied with their care."

From the Tulane staff regarding the prior survey:

The 2014 survey was part of a previous research study done by our Psycho-Oncology Research Program. I have attached the article that was published earlier this year regarding that project. [Note: Article is behind a paywall and for copyright purposes cannot be attached here.] Additionally, the following link summarizes the study in a more patient-friendly manner:

Lastly, here is a link to our Facebook page, where we share our research results and post other content that may be relevant to patients, families, and clinicians:
