cleaning services

Postby cookkie71 » Mon Nov 24, 2014 2:26 pm

I thought I might have seen something on here before but a quick search didn't turn up anything for me. Does any type of service or discount program exist for hospice patients to have some light housework done; sweep, mop, dust, maybe a load of laundry? Merry Maids just seemed so expensive! Thanks!

I used cleaning for a reason about 1/2 way thru my infusions. It took some time to set up, paperwork, doctor signing off, waiting for availability. But they give you 4 cleanings, once every 4 weeks. The ladies that came to my house were friendly and did a better job than I would have done, feeling so crummy. It's worth it to give them a try.

I am very lucky to have a cleaner paid by the NZ government through ACC. I recommend if you can afford it to get some help and conserve your energy for the things you love to do!
