When I was diagnosed with "IBS" in 2011, I had a colonoscopy without meds. It was ok.
Watching the scope move on the TV was a trip. My GI doc removed a polyp while I watched. I gasped as he began to cut the polyp out when I saw blood on the screen, but I felt nothing! They laughed when I gasped and said don't worry, it's not going to hurt.
