High ca 19.9

It measures 80 when the normal range says 35 as max.
My baseline is around 15.
My onc says it could be due to the sbrt recently done on a diaphragmatic lesion. I also have 2 small mets on my left lung which haven't been treated since the end of july... Can all this be a realistoc reason for such a level...?
I'll have my ct scan next week, I'm scared...

It is hard to wait. There are other reasons for high Ca 19-9 as cancer, too.

For someone not known to have cancer, 19-9 can go to 300 (!) before people will think cancer, so expect much bigger leaps than with CEA. 19-9 is also very sensitive to infections and (non-cancer) things going on in your liver so don't panic yet.

I have some hope at the very bottom of my heart but, honestly, I know it's IT. Hard to wait to know if something else can be done to save my life...
I have no energy left. Recent surgery and sbrt still cause me pain, the loss of my mother took away another piece of joy, and after 3 years of treatments I'm weaker and weaker.
I think I'm going to surrender. I'm shipwrecked.

Darling Regan, try to leave your hate in your magical strong words, they can tie it down when you need it. And try not to think about tomorrow at all, tomorrow is just an illusion, for everybody, healty or sick... we only have present time to live, with its sorrow and joy. It is painful to read resignation in your words. My short time with this disease leaves me ill-positioned to argue that the fight must be maintained. It may be that in a couple more years I might also tire of the battle. Still, my few months here has shown how much you give to others and how much would be lost in your absence. Many people spend a lifetime looking for a meaningful purpose. You have clearly found yours. If the grand goal in life is to find purpose, you are a guide for the rest of us.

Live for the grand moments and, best you can, endure the difficult moments. There is still much joy for you to experience.

I have great respect for you and look forward to reading your posts for a long time.

The fact is that since my mother's death my soul darkened. And I can't do anything about it, though I'm trying...
Ok, the crisis seems to be less sharp now... Let's wait fo the ct scan.
And you're right, I have to believe in joy to come. I must temember it. It's the only way to stay alive.
