POSTCARDS FROM REAL LIFE.... ONGOING

Postby skypup » Mon Nov 10, 2014 2:40 pm

(Inspired by raym, brownbagger and kenny-twisted)

Anyone who lands on our forum, be they patient or caregiver, stage I to stage IV, sometimes has to dig in and grab onto life. Let's post some photos from our "real" lives to share and/or celebrate... and maybe some will find inspiration here, as well.

HOW TO POST A PHOTO:
This is the only way I know and may not be the most elegant, but it works...
1. Go to photobucket.com and upload your photos.
2. View a photo and copy the link listed in the "IMG" window (to the right of the photo.)
3. Paste that gobbledygook into your message here in ColonTalk.
4. Check out your masterpiece by using the "Preview" option.
5. Post and listen for the applause.

As you can see, he was quite large, and likes to swim also. The fish were not amused.

I can't help bragging on my 24 year-old daughter, who moved to San Francisco about one year ago. Armed with a recently-minted biology degree, she quickly managed to find a job in her field with a startup company producing an organic food product. She's the third one from the right. The guy in the red vest is a major investor in their company.

chp, how cool that both sons married this year! Congrats on your growing family!
cashmere, so I'm not the only geek that names themselves after their pup. Quite a car full!
peanut -- those photos are amazing! As someone who spends lots of time in the woods, I know the lions are there but we never get to see them! Do you still wander to your pond without thinking about them?

BB, I can't even imagine how proud I would be to see a child of mine getting a good start in their adult life. Very, very cool!

Hi Skypup,

Love the picture of your best friends in High School. I have my best friend and it been 52 years for us. We met when we were 14...we are now 70, where did the time go.

The pictures of the dogs and the bear and mountain lions.....love them all. All the pictures made me smile. There's nothing like a smile to make you feel goooood.

Blessings

Love this new thread.

The "postcard" theme reminds me of Marco and all of the postcards from around the world.

Hope to share some pictures soon.
