HAI pump

Postby Kathy » Thu Oct 23, 2014 3:08 pm

I have had my HAI pump for almost 6 years. It is inactive now and they wanted to leave it in place because of all my surgeries and the adhesions that have been problematic. I have never really had any issues with the pump but all of the sudden it feels "loose". I an aware of it. Anyone one else ever had this?

Mine has been in since Feb 2009 and still feels tight. I am having it removed in the next couple of months. I am sorry I am not more helpful but I just wanted to congratulate you on your 6 years NED. So happy for you!

I'll have had mine 3 years next month and it still feels tight too like Amy's. You should probably talk to your surgeon and see what's up with it.

Amy, that's so exciting! Do you mind sharing details about the surgery? How long will you be in the hospital? Is it just a quick slice and remove procedure? Is Dr. D doing the removal (we have the same surgeon)? Are there any possible complications to your liver from the removal?
