Mucinous and Signet Cell Adenocarcinoma

Postby testing765 » Thu Oct 16, 2014 5:49 am

Can mucinous adenocarcinoma be identified as histological low grade (well differentiated)?

By its nature, is signet cell adenocarinoma histological high grade (poorly differentiated)?

Does anyone here have mucinous or signet cell adenocarcinoma and, if so, do you recall the histological grade on your pathology report- low grade, moderate grade, high grade?

Reading the medical report I received upon discharge from my resection surgery two years ago I see that final diagnosis is:

Invasive mucinous (Colloid) and Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma;
Ulcerated.
High Grade/Poorly Differentiated.
Stage IIIC: pT4a pN2a pMX

Hope this helps.

Steve
