Switching chemos, good or not so good?

Postby stars9979 » Thu Oct 09, 2014 3:55 am

Hi all!

Thanks for the wealth of information. Some incredible advice has been given time and the key piece lately that has helped was don't let my highs get too high and my lows get too low. Boy ain't that the truth!

Onto my question.

My mom did 7 rounds FOLFOX. However we had numerous hospitalization a due to partial blockages (illeostomy bag), hydration, more so the partial blockages. This, delaying rounds.

While FOLFOX showed partial response with hrinkagenand liver mets dying.... They I guess want more.

We start FOLFIRI, and I think erbitux. I am wondering what some side effects of FOLFIRI has had for some of you. And also wondering if we are moving to another chemo, if that means FOLFOX is now off the table for good, and if moving to another chemo is a bad sign.

You guys are awesome without you guys I think it would be a mess
