My onc was at this meeting in Madrid and mentioned a drug that may compliment the Mekinist I am already on by blocking a cancer cell growth pathway further upstream. He is trying the get the actual data as it wasn't provided to the delegates like most data is. The good news is this drug is already commonly used and government funded in Australia. He didn't tell me the name of the drug, or whether or not this applies to my unusual GNAQ mutation or to CRC patients in general. I went digging on the ESMO site though and found a press release that might be of interest.
