Hope it's OK to be grateful for more than one thing. Although I have a permanent colostomy, I'm grateful for the skillful surgeon who operated on me. Apparently my stoma is 'a work of art.' Doctors all across the peninsula want to see it. Since it really is a small community here, I'm somewhat famous amongst the medical community because of the way the RC cancer presented itself via Fournier's gangrene, and now of course for the gorgeous stoma. It took a while to come up with a name equivalent to the masterpiece. After watching My Neighbor Totoro, with Peanut Jr. one night, I decided my stoma looked amazingly similar to the big guy himself, hence the avatar.
cheers, peanut

I am grateful for Bewley's Decaf. Without a strong decaf tea, this ordeal would be much worse.

And I'm especially grateful for my family.

Tonight as I read of Marco's passing I am grateful for this website and am humbled at the people that I "talk" to..read about....cry with...rejoice with everyday.

I am grateful for the lessons I learn from an amazing group of caring, giving people - many of whom are at what some would think are the worst moments of their life...yet they give....and give....and give.

I am grateful for all of YOU.... (((((((((((( )))))))))))

tammylane, exactly what I was thinking but you and Vicki beat me to it.
It came to me as I read Greg's topic Dear Marco tonight.

On the way to work this morning, I thought about how long it has been since we heard from you!
I'm grateful things are going well, and relieved.

I am so so grateful for my daughters, who stood by their brother in the darkest of hours, my two younger ones who gave up being teenagers and having friends over because my son couldn't be exposed too much, I am grateful for my oldest daughter who always stepped in to do whatever was needed-groceries, organizing dinners, picking up her siblings, and for my 2nd oldest daughter who is married and lives in California-who dropped everything for weeks at a time to help. On top of all that these beautiful girls of mine made a last minute wedding possible with cleaning and food prep. My son was so happy and told us how grateful he was to his sisters for making the wedding an amazing experience.
