We need some laughs here!

Postby Delinda » Tue Sep 09, 2014 10:34 am

Okay, I've had tears rolling down my face for the last hour reading such painful posts from so many beloved members. Personally, I need some funny, smart a$$ remarks to get my motor running. This means you Kenny, CRGuy, Vicki, Michael, etc. I'll start with a stupid kid joke I posted for Cherie when she was down. It always cracks me up & is the only joke I can ever remember:
"Why do ducks have flat feet?
To stomp out forest fires.
Why do bears jump out of trees?
To stomp out the flaming ducks!"
Bhaaaaa! Makes no sense, but neither does cancer!! Show me the smiles family, please!! XXOXO, Delinda

Waiting with baited breth to see what you deliver Kenny. My week end Girls Road Trip was soooo much fun. We talked, laughed, shopped, cried, argued, made up, ate well, and got a little bit naughty... but what happens at Ocean Shores, stays at Ocean Shores! Thanks for asking. I love my Girls!! Seeing as how we have all experienced the healthcare industry more than our fair-share....

A Nurse, a Doctor and a CEO for a health insurance company all arrive at the Pearly Gates at the same time.

St. Peter turns to the nurse and asks what she did during her earthly existance that she believe qualified for admission to Heaven. The nurse responds that she used to tend to sick and injured people, tend to their illness and injuries, relieve their pain and try to bring them comfort. St. Peter tells her that is a very noble thing to do and that she is admitted to heaven.

He then turns to the doctor and asks the same question. The doctor replies, that he too worked with sick and injured people. Offered treatment and medication to help heal them or relieve their suffering. And St. Peter replies that this also was a noble thing to do and the doctor is admited to Heaven.

Finally St. Peter turns to the insurance executive and asks the same question. The insurance executive responds that he also worked in the health care field, running a successful HMO. He helped sick and injured people pay for the doctors and nurses and treatments, medications and surgeries. At St. Peter replies that this as well was noble and he would be admitted to Heaven....but only for 3 days.
